Jönköpings Södra IF ended the season with a heavy loss to Eskilsminne in Helsingborg. The conditions were clear; a win would secure a playoff spot for Superettan, but the team never got going. Before even 20 minutes had passed, Södra had conceded two goals and received a red card. With 10 men on the field, it was a tough task to come back from 0-2. Linus Lyck reduced the score to 1-2 in the 32nd minute, but Eskilsminne quickly responded and made it 1-3 just before halftime. In the second half, Eskilsminne was awarded a penalty and scored to make it 1-4, which nearly extinguished any hope for Jönköpings Södra IF. The match ended 2-4, and Norrby won their match, meaning J-Södra finished in third place in the table. This was the last match of the season, and we thank all the supporters who have stood by us throughout the year. Forza Södra!
