Jönköpings Södra IF recently filed a protest with the Swedish Football Association after a match against Utsikten where a rule violation occurred. During the match at Stadsparksvallen, Utsikten made a total of six substitutions, exceeding the allowed five substitutions. One of these substitutions happened after a head injury, and J-Södra argues that this substitution should have been handled differently. Although the rule allowing an extra substitution for suspected concussions is applied in higher leagues, it does not apply in Ettan. After the match, which J-Södra lost 2–1, the SvFF's competition committee decided to reject J-Södra's protest. Leonard Heiman, the competition legal officer, explained that there were not sufficient grounds to replay the match. J-Södra's club manager, Oscar Carlson, expressed that they did not have high hopes of getting the match replayed but felt it was important to raise the issue. He pointed out that the substitution due to the head injury had an impact on the match's final result. Carlson also mentioned that J-Södra does not plan to appeal the decision, as they now have clarity on how such situations should be handled in the future.
